PORTOBELLO BY THE SEA APARTMENTS

Portobello By The Sea offers self-contained apartments. We have provided a
complimentary start up pack of tea, coffee, sugar, kitchen & bathroom supplies.
Should you require additional supplies these can be purchased from Reception or
alternatively you can purchase extra supplies at the IGA located adjacent to the
resort.

We do offer a free housekeeping service for guests staying 7 nights or longer. This
service is automatically scheduled mid stay and includes a change of sheets and
towels.

There are no daily housekeeping services unless specifically requested.

Your apartment has been furnished with cleaning equipment and full laundry facilities
for your convenience and use. If there is an unfortunate accident or damage in your
apartment, please advise Reception as soon as possible so we can minimise any
inconvenience.

 

 


Air Conditioning

To operate the air conditioning unit, please allow 3 to 5 minutes for the air to cool
down. Simply adjust the temperature using the remote control attached to the wall.
Air conditioners will operate best if left on temperatures between 22 – 24 degrees. 

Do not operate air conditioners below 20 degrees as this may cause the air
conditioners to freeze up and fail.  The unit may drip if the apartment balcony doors
are left open whilst unit is in operation.  Please ensure doors remain closed for
maximum efficiency.


Car Parking

Undercover parking is available for our guests. There is one car space per
apartment. If you have more than one vehicle, there are a few “visitor” parking areas.
Please confirm with reception when checking in.


Resort Facilties

Swimming Pool:
Pool hours are 8.00am to 8.00pm. The pool is heated year round and the
temperature is maintained at 28°c in the cooler months.

Parents are responsible for the safety of their children. Children under the age
of 12 must be accompanied by an adult and must be supervised at all times.

Please use the external shower to remove sand before entering the pool.

Please abide by pool rules at all times including NO SMOKING and NO GLASS. If
you are found to have glass by the pool, you will be evicted without refund. Dishwasher safe plastic cups are provided in each apartment.

Pool and Resort facilities are for in-house guests only.

Pool towels are available for hire from Reception - $5.00 per towel for the duration of
your stay, a $10.00 cash holding deposit is required per towel, this will be refunded
when the towels are returned to reception on departure.

NO GLASS IS PERMITTED IN THE POOL AREA. 

BBQ Area:
There is a communal BBQ area available for the exclusive use of guests only.

BBQ hours are strictly 8.00am to 9.00pm.

When using the BBQ’s please be considerate of other guests who may also like to
use the area, and please remove your rubbish from the area before you leave.

Reception Hours:
Monday to Friday: 9.00am to 5.00pm
Saturday to Sunday: 9.00am to 12.30pm
Public Holidays: 9.00am to 12.30pm
Closed Christmas Day

Check In Time:
Check in is available from 2.00pm, if arriving outside Reception hours please contact
us to organise key collection from our Night Safe.

Check Out Time:
Check out time is 10.00am, please be considerate of new arrivals by adhering to this
check out time.

We kindly ask that upon check out you remove any rubbish into one of the bins
located in the car park area and that all used dirty dishes are in the dishwasher with
the dishwasher turned on prior to your departure. Please do not leave your dirty dishes in the sink.

Please note, Management reserves the right to charge an additional cleaning fee if
the apartment is left in an unsatisfactory state.

Key Return:
If you are leaving early, the keys can be placed in the Key Drop Box located in the
Car Park under the Exit Key Switch for the car park gate. Please ensure that you
have removed all personal items from your apartment before placing your keys in the
Drop Box.

Please be advised there is a $350.00 fee for lost keys, but you will be offered a
refund if they are returned/found before a locksmith is called.

Dial “9” for Reception (if calling after hours, all calls will be diverted to the after-hours
answering service)

Room to room dial 1 + the apartment number

If you have visitors coming to see you, they can contact you via the intercom system
next to Reception. If you wish to let them in the main door, you can press #15 on
your phone and this will open the main door next to Reception.

Smoking:
We are a non-smoking resort, smoking is not permitted in the apartments or in the
grounds of the complex including the pool area. We request smokers use the
apartment balcony only and please be considerate of other guests on balconies
above or below.

Security:
Please make sure your balcony doors are locked if leaving your apartment and at
night. In consideration of your fellow guests, we ask that any activities/entertainment
conducted on the balcony of your apartment cease at 10pm. At which time we ask
that you move inside your apartment and close the balcony doors. Please be aware
that we have a strict “NO PARTY POLICY”.


Tea and Coffee

Complimentary for use on arrival. Fresh milk is available at reception.


Tours

A full selection of tour brochures is available in Reception.
Please contact reception if you need any help making bookings.


TV

Your TV will have access to Foxtel channels, please see the channel guide in your
apartment. Free to Air channels are interspersed with the Foxtel Channels. Please
use the channel button on the remote to move up and down to browse available
channels.


Wi-fi

Free unlimited WIFI is available in your apartment. Please connect to the “fiispot”
relevant to your apartment number and use the specific password for your
apartment, these details are available in your room.
